The house is set on a plot with a magnificent view to the sea towards the north and an impressive view of the mountain towards the south. This north-south axis receives the circulation and in conjunction with the swimming pool played a key role in shaping the concept behind this project which resulted in the design of a square-shaped residence articulated around the introverted courtyard with the swimming pool and the garden which overlooks the sea.
The volume of the house is split in three distinctive parts which reflect the organization of the functional zones. These volumes accentuate their height and opaqueness as one moves from the sea towards the mountain. The living room, the sitting room with the fireplace and the dinning room define the first unit under the "floating" flat roof whereas the bedrooms are set under the slopping roof. The kitchen and the mezzanine with the unique view to the sea occupy the prismatic volume.
