Muse Restaurant

We designed the Muse Restaurant at the Vanderbilt Grace (formerly Vanderbilt Hall), a Newport landmark dating from 1909. The original building was one of many mansions in the area owned by the Vanderbilt family and today carefully combines original Beaux Arts features with elegant simplicity.

In summer 2011 this all new fine dining restaurant at the Vanderbilt Grace was opened, under the direction of renowned chef Jonathan Cartwright.

By carefully adapting the period features of the 100-year-old Vanderbilt Grace property, the new décor enhances the high-end, fine-dining experience of the Muse restaurant, to create a fresh, modern aesthetic, including custom-made touches that echo the Grace hotels of the Greek Islands. The restaurant, complete with bar and lounge area, seats 44 diners. The dining room is outfitted with crisp white linens, soft lighting, pale blue walls and touches of gold, which create an inviting atmosphere and add to the warmth of the experience.
