Nikolas Travasaros

Nikolas is a founding partner of both Divercity (Athens and London) and trac. He studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (1999) and received a Master of Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL (2000).

As well as managing Divercity’s growing team of architects, as Head of Design Nikolas leads the design process on all the practice’s projects. He oversees each project from initial design to completion of construction.

Nikolas divides his time between practicing and teaching architecture in Athens and London. Since 2007, he has been teaching architectural design at the Bartlett School of Architecture. Prior to that, he taught architectural and interior design at the University of Patra, Greece (2002-2007).

He has curated exhibitions and taken part in several national and international architectural competitions (four 1st prizes, one commendation).

Nikolas has been a RIBA Chartered Member, since 2010.

Dimitris Travasaros

Dimitris is a partner of Divercity (Athens) and a founding partner of trac. He completed a BA in Architecture at the London South Bank University in 2000, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture (with distinction).

As a Project Architect, Dimitris plays a central role in the design process as well as managing projects from initial design to completion of construction.

Dimitris has taken part in numerous architectural competitions (one 1st Prize). His ‘Invisible Hotel’ project has been exhibited and published extensively in Greece and abroad.

Christina Achtypi

Christina is a partner at Divercity (London). She studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (2005) and received a Master of Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL (2009).

Christina joined Divercity in 2005 and worked at our studio in Athens until she moved to London in 2007. As a Project Architect, she plays a central role in the design process as well as managing projects from initial design to completion of construction.

Christina has taken part in international architectural competitions (one 2nd prize, one distinction). In 2008, she was co-curator of ‘Athens by Sound’, the national participation of Greece at the 11th International Venice Biennale of Architecture, ‘Out there - Architecture Beyond Building’. Her projects were also exhibited at the 4th European Biennale of Landscape Architecture in Barcelona (2006) and the 1st Biennale of Architecture in Rotterdam (2003).

Christina has been a RIBA Chartered Member, since 2010.

Christos Dimitroukas

Christos is a partner at Divercity (Athens). Christos studied Civil Engineering at the Technological Educational Institution of Piraeus (1997).

Originally, Christos joined trac in 2005. As Head of Construction at Divercity (Athens) since 2008, he is in charge of the supervision and construction management of all our projects.

From 2000 to 2005, he was Construction Engineer during the building of the Rio-Antirrio Bridge, the world’s longest cable-stayed suspension bridge.

Demetra Karabelia

Demetra founded Divercity (Athens) with Nikolas Travasaros in 2004. She studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (1998) and received a Master of Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens (2004).

As a Project Architect, she plays a central role in the design process as well as managing projects from initial design to completion of construction.

Takis Travasaros

A founding partner of trac, Takis studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich (1965). From 1968 to 1971, he was a lecturer at the National Technical University of Athens.

As Head of Construction at trac, Takis is in charge of the supervision and construction management of all our projects. Dividing his time between Patra and Athens, Takis also works as a Project Architect. His extensive body of work includes the design and construction of a significant number of private projects, mainly residential.

Takis has taken part in two national architectural competitions (one 1st prize, one commendation). He was Vice President of the Architects Association of Western Greece from 1982-86.

Brian Houghton

Born in the USA (1982). He studied architecture at the Boston Architectural College in Boston, MA where he was the recipient of several awards including a Thesis Commends and the John Worthington Ames Scholarship. Relocating to London in 2007 to study at the Architectural Association, he received a Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (AA_DRL) in 2009.

He has worked for Bergmeyer Assocates in Boston, MA and Affect_T in London.

Brian joined Divercity (London) in 2009. As an Architect, he is involved in the design process and plays a key role in the construction drawing phase.

Amelia Humber

Amelia studied fine art at Falmouth School of Art, Cornwall. After graduating in 2007, she moved back to London to continue her career.

Amelia joined Divercity (London) in 2010, providing administrative support to the practice.

Jonah studied architecture at the Bartlett School of architecture in London graduating with a Bsc in 2010.

He joined the team as an Architectural Assistant in 2011 and is involved in the design process at Divercity (London).

Apostolia Kokkini

Apostolia studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (2005) and received an MA in Urban Design and City Transformations from the University of Patra (2008).

Apostolia joined trac (Patra) in 2007. As an Architect, she is involved in the design process and plays a key role in the construction drawing phase.

She received a distinction in the national architectural competition ‘Redevelopment of the Salats district in Kilkis’(2008).

Angelina Manitsa

Angelina graduated from the Architecture School of the University of Patra in 2004 and received an MSc in Urban Design from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in 2006.

Angelina joined Divercity (Athens) in 2005. As a Project Architect, she plays a central role in the design process in all stages from initial design to completion of construction.

She has participated in various architectural exhibitions and competitions, and was awarded a distinction in the international architecture competition ‘Ephemeral Structures in the City of Athens’, 2004.

Chris Mobbs

Chris studied architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London graduating with a Bsc (Hons) in 2010.

Since then he has worked in London gaining experience on a range of projects. He recently travelled to North Sweden to design and build a prototype for a small sustainable house. Chris joined the team as an Architectural Assistant in 2012 and is involved in the design process at Divercity (London).

Sandy Papastavropoulou

Sandy completed a BA and Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture at London South Bank University in 2003. She received a Master of Arts in Architectural History, Theory and Interpretation from London Metropolitan University in 2004.

Marios Triantafyllou

Marios studied architecture at the Architecture School of the University of Patra (2011). He received a distinction in the ‘Project of the Year 2008/9’, an international architecture competition in Tel Aviv, Israel 2009, with Richard Meier as chairman of the judging panel.

Marios joined the team as an Architectural Assistant in 2012 and is involved in the design process at Divercity (London).
